carlo angiuli (websites)

I have been designing websites for years, but lately I have been devoting more time to developing web applications and databases. Here is some of my work.

I strive to create clean and functional websites that are fully standards compliant. I prefer to code in CSS and XHTML 1.0 Transitional, and always hand-code. This makes my code smaller, faster, and easier to read than those of most other websites. Take a look at some of the sites I have created:

Web applications

acfdb

acfdb - a question database

http://www.carloangiuli.com/acfdb/

acfdb is a searchable database of all the tossups in the ACF Question Archive. I created it as a useful study tool for college quizbowlers. Questions are tagged with and searchable by their year, tournament, author, and most importantly, category.

GreekComm

GreekComm

I am one of two developers working on GreekComm's mission to facilitate communication between national Greek organizations and their members. We are creating a group of online tools designed specifically to help extend interaction within the Greek system.

QED

Question Editing Database

QED is a complete solution to quizbowl packet compilation, written in Perl. It gives a group of collaborators secure access to a database of questions, in which they can input, edit, and organize questions that administrator users can output as neatly-formatted packets.

Aegis Questions, Inc. is a non-profit high-school quizbowl question provider based in Chicago. I am a founding member and director, and manage all the company's technical affairs.

IHSSBCA

IHSSBCA

The Illinois High School Scholastic Bowl Coaches' Association had an old, poorly-organized website created in a frameset. I redesigned the entire website, using CSS instead.
