Agreed as well. This is even though, in the deepest tournament Illinois will see this year, only 2 of the 10 teams I saw topped 150 points. On the HSQB boards in Hell, every post will deeply analyze the 80-50 match I moderated in round 2 and question how 10 upperclassman could all have forgotten how to factor polynomials. Gaah.

I really wish I could’ve moderated. Hopefully next year!

Carlo:
Bah, Greg, which Greg are you!? >_<
Brad — the matches in my room fared much better. It totally depended on the teams.

Oh! The DNS record says it’s Greg of Harvard fame. I was totally trying to figure out whether it was Greg of Wheaton North or Greg of Maine South. Man. We need some more original names around here.

Brad:
It definitely did depend on the teams – luck of the draw screwed me over. Maine South really impressed me – I haven’t seen them at full strength in Illinois format before, and that team is well built – and Loyola surprised me with how acceptably competent they were. I don’t know why, but I was expecting more of a drop off without Matt and Katie. Instead, they performed without any stupid mistakes or answers and picked up a decent number of points.
But yeah. Everyone else I moderated sucked. How’d the playoffs go? I haven’t heard anything except Siva dropping a remark about OP-RF, who I’m assuming took out Auburn in the playoffs.

Trevor:
No, Auburn didn’t play OPRF in the playoffs. I think Auburn lost to Wheaton North in the first round, but I can’t remember.
Indeed.
